The "Golden Boys" Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello continue to demonstrate their dominance on the circuit and sealed their place in the final of the Qatar Major after overcoming the tenacious pair of Miguel Yanguas and Jorge "Coki" Nieto in a hard-fought semifinal with a score of 6-2 and 7-5.
From the first point, Tapia and Coello showed their characteristic determination. The high level they displayed in the first set was too much for Yanguas and Coki. With powerful shots and great effectiveness at the net, the world number ones took the first set with a clear 6-2, making their firm intention to reach the final clear.
However, Yanguas and Coki did not give up and demonstrated the grit and talent that have made them one of the most promising pairs on the circuit. In the second set, they adjusted their game, putting up more of a fight on every point and taking advantage of any openings in Tapia and Coello's play. The set became an exciting back-and-forth, with both pairs showing a high level of padel.
Equality was the dominant theme in the second set, with spectacular points and incredible defenses from both sides of the court. Yanguas and Coki managed to make things uncomfortable for the "Golden Boys" at various moments, even having break point opportunities. However, the solidity and power of Tapia and Coello ultimately prevailed in the key moments. With a tight 7-5, they sealed their victory and their well-deserved ticket to the grand final of the Qatar Major.
