On Felipe Navarro's YouTube channel ENERGY PÁDEL, we had the pleasure of enjoying a very special interview with the great Jon Sanz, currently Number 10 in the PREMIER PÁDEL Ranking and one of the most beloved players on the professional circuit. We loved this close chat between two good friends where there was great chemistry between them and several very emotional moments. From the very first minute, you can tell the good relationship between Jon and Felipe, something that brought a lot of naturalness to the conversation. Together, they reviewed Jon's beginnings in padel: how he started taking his first steps in this sport and his evolution in the lower categories until reaching the world elite.
We enjoyed hearing the affection with which Jon remembers all the teammates with whom he has shared his journey, many of whom remain great friends. He also values the fundamental role that both his family and his closest friends play in his life; the people who have been by his side at all times, both in good times and not-so-good times.
Something we love to highlight from this chat is the humility with which Jon Sanz speaks at all times. Despite the success and international recognition he is achieving, he remains a normal guy, down-to-earth, and very grateful to his surroundings. A very emotional example was when he told us how he experienced the tribute they paid him at his lifelong club in Pamplona, where they named a court after him. A gesture that deeply moved him and reflects the affection he inspires in his homeland.
During the interview, they also delve into his progression in the elite, highlighting the strong winning mentality that Jon has had since his first steps: even if he had to face the best in the world, he always trusted that he could win, an attitude that has undoubtedly been key in his career.
